Abstract Mainnet is Live With Full Support in Zerion
The mainnet of Abstract Chain, one of the most anticipated L2 networks, is live! And from day one, it’s fully supported by Zerion. In this post, we’ll explore Abstract and show you how to get started.
What is Abstract Chain?
Launched team behind Pudgy Penguins, Abstract Chain is an Ethereum Layer-2 network for consumer apps.
Build with ZK Stack, Abstract is an EVM-compatible zk-rollup. This means it functions almost exactly like Ethereum yet unlocks new functionality while offering drastically lower fees and faster transactions.
Abstract is also part of ZKSync’s Elastic Chain, which counts Zerion’s ZERO Network, Lens, and other chains as members. All these networks will eventually share liquidity, users, dapps, and more.
Now let’s see how Abstract works.
How Abstract Chain Works
From the user’s point of view, Abstract can work like a regular Ethereum L2.
Or the chain can be abstracted (hence the name!) from the user experience. Consumer apps could use onchain transactions under the hood while offering smooth UX with native account abstraction and paymasters.
Besides traditional self-custodial wallets like Zerion Wallet, developers can also use Abstract Global Wallet (AGW).
AGW is a set of smart contracts to onboard users with familiar login methods (email, socials, passkeys and more). Users don’t need to worry about seed phrases or even leave the app. That’s the future.
In the present, you can use Abstract with Zerion Wallet.
Abstract Chain in Zerion
With Zerion, you can be both a consumer and creator on Abstract.
Track Abstract Chain in Zerion Wallet
Once you bridge ETH or other tokens to Abstract Chain, they will automatically show up in your Zerion Wallet. No need to add any settings manually.
After that, you’ll be able to use Abstract just like other chains:
- Swap right in Zerion — in the Zerion swaps in the web app or on mobile
- Track all your tokens and NFTs
- See your transaction history
- Follow other wallets and get notifications when they do something cool on Abstract (great way to get alpha!)
All this Abstract data is also available to builders.
Build on Abstract Chain with Zerion API
Zerion API offers full support for the Abstract chain from day one across all API endpoints.
You can use Zerion API to easily add onchain data to any consumer products even without any knowledge of web3:
- Get tokens and NFTs held by an address
- Get multichain transaction history for any address
- Get the value of the overall portfolio
- And more!
