How to Build on Elysium with Zerion API

Zerion API supports Elysium from day one. Add token balances, positions, PnL and decoded transaction history for Hyperliquid's L2 to your app with the same endpoints you use across chains.

How to Build on Elysium with Zerion API

The mainnet for Elysium, the Hyperliquid L2 network, launches on November 9, 2026, bringing a high-throughput EVM environment to the ecosystem.

Zerion API will support Elysium from day one, giving you access to token positions, PnL, transaction history and NFTs for your app. Here’s how you can start building on Elysium.

What builders need to know about Elysium

Built by Kinetiq, Elysium is an EVM-compatible Arbitrum Orbit chain that settles to HyperEVM. It uses HYPE for gas and produces blocks every 100 ms. But otherwise it uses the standard EVM tooling.

Read the Elysium guide for more on the network architecture. This article covers how to add wallet data to your app.

Why use a wallet data API?

Your Elysium RPC lets you interact with contracts and submit transactions.

But building an address overview or portfolio also requires indexing and enriching onchain data.

You need to track token transfers, resolve metadata, maintain prices and decode activity. Then return that data in a consistent format.

All that work grows with each network you support. Your users may hold assets on Elysium, HyperEVM, Ethereum, Base, and Solana, and expect to see them together.

Zerion API handles all indexing, token enrichment, and transaction decoding across supported chains. You can use the same endpoints to display balances, positions, and activity in your app.

Get started

  1. Create a free Zerion API key in the dashboard.
  2. Authenticate with HTTP Basic auth, using your API key as the username. Keep the key on your backend.
  3. Call a wallet endpoint with filter[chain_ids]=elysium to filter for Elysium.

Example: Build a token list for a connected wallet

Suppose you’re adding an Elysium token list to your app.

When a user connects a wallet, request their token data from the positions endpoint:

GET /v1/wallets/{address}/positions/?filter[chain_ids]=elysium&filter[positions]=only_simple

In this curl example, replace the wallet address, API key and chain identifier with your own values:

curl -G 'https://api.zerion.io/v1/wallets/0xYOUR_WALLET/positions/' \
  -u "$ZERION_API_KEY:" \
  --data-urlencode 'filter[chain_ids]=elysium' \
  --data-urlencode 'filter[positions]=only_simple'

You’ll get the full data for wallet token positions: token quantities, prices, USD values, icons and other metadata. The responses are also filter spam by default.

Show positions, portfolio value and PnL

You can use other Zerion API endpoints to get all the data you need for most user interfaces:

  • Portfolio total balance: Use GET /v1/wallets/{address}/portfolio/ to show wallet value and a breakdown by chain, including Elysium where supported.
  • DeFi positions: Use GET /v1/wallets/{address}/positions/ without the simple-only filter to show LP and protocol positions as Elysium protocols are indexed.
  • Profit and loss: Use GET /v1/wallets/{address}/pnl/ to show realized and unrealized PnL, subject to Elysium coverage and supported filters.
  • Balance charts: Use GET /v1/wallets/{address}/charts/{period} to show portfolio value over time with the supported periods and filters.

Add transaction history

Regardless of your app, users likely need to see what they’ve previously done onchain.

Zerion API’s transactions endpoint is perfect for that.

Call GET /v1/wallets/{address}/transactions/ with the Elysium chain filter to add readable transaction history to your app. The response includes interpreted swaps, transfers, approvals and bridge transactions, with no indexing, decoding or enrichment needed on your side.

Use pagination for longer histories. You can also use Zerion API’s webhooks to subscribe to new transactions to create alerts or fetch updates for the activity feed.

Use the same API across chains

Zerion API uses the same wallet endpoints across supported networks, including Ethereum, Solana, Base, Robinhood Chain and HyperEVM.

This means you can add Elysium to an existing app without rebuilding every wallet component.

Use your RPC provider to send transactions and deploy contracts, and Zerion API to read wallet balances, positions, and history.

FAQ

Does Zerion API support Elysium?

Zerion API support is planned from Elysium’s mainnet launch on November 9, 2026.

Which Elysium data is available?

Planned coverage includes token balances, prices, positions, PnL, NFTs, decoded transactions and transaction subscriptions. Availability varies by endpoint and indexed protocol.

Do I need to run an Elysium node?

You can read wallet data through Zerion API without running an Elysium node. You still need RPC access to send transactions or deploy contracts.

Is Zerion API the same as Hyperliquid's API?

No. Hyperliquid’s API provides access to HyperCore trading functions. Zerion API provides wallet and portfolio data across chains.

Which other chains use the same API?

Zerion API also supports Ethereum, Solana, Base, Robinhood Chain and HyperEVM, among other networks.

Is there a free tier?

You can create a free API key in the Zerion dashboard. See the current plans for usage limits and pricing.
