Guide to Robinhood Stock Tokens

Robinhood Stock Tokens give investors access to 190+ tokenized stocks and ETFs. These include tokens linked to stocks like NVIDIA, Google, and Apple, as well as ETFs like Invesco QQQ. You can hold them in your crypto wallet like any other token, trade, and use them in DeFi protocols.

Robinhood describes the offer as “Markets beyond borders, 24/7.” This combines exposure to US stock with the ability to use them onchain. This guide will show you how.

What are Robinhood Stock Tokens?

Robinhood Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They provide economic exposure to underlying securities such as US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).

This means the tokens’ prices are linked to the underlying security. Dividends are automatically reinvested through the token’s multiplier mechanism.

But the legal distinction matters. Stock Tokens do not give you any rights in the underlying securities. For example, holding a token linked to a company does not make you a shareholder in that company.

Stock Tokens are backed 1:1 by real-world assets supporting the token. The token’s legal definition describes the rights you receive.

Why Robinhood Stock Tokens stand out

  • Exposure to popular US stocks and ETFs. The range includes 190+ Stock Tokens linked to US companies and ETFs. NVIDIA, Google, Apple, and Invesco QQQ are among the examples on Robinhood’s Stock Tokens page. For eligible users outside the US, this provides a way to access US equity exposure from a crypto wallet.
  • Real shares behind every token. Every Stock Token in circulation is backed 1:1 by its corresponding underlying equity. A licensed US-based custodian holds the underlying shares.
  • Full collateralization. Robinhood states that Stock Tokens are fully collateralized and monitored daily. Backing, custody, and monitoring are central to the product’s structure.
  • Dividends, reinvested automatically. When an underlying security pays a dividend, it is automatically reinvested through the Stock Token’s multiplier. Instead of receiving a cash payout, your token dynamically represents more than one share of stock over time.

Put your Stock Tokens to work on Robinhood Chain

Like other tokens, Stock Tokens can also be used in DeFi and onchain applications.

This extends what you can do with a position after buying it. Once a Stock Token is in your wallet, you can trade it, deposit, loan, and more.

Launchpads like Pons let anyone create memecoins paired with Stock Tokens. These pairs use "hook" features of Uniswap v4 pools. After graduating from the launchpad, memecoins trade in these pools with hooks. These extend features, adding automatic buybacks, burns, rewards, and more.

New apps are continuing to launch on Robinhood Chain. Its ecosystem page is the place to explore applications for trading, lending, and borrowing.

Zerion tracks 18 DeFi protocols on Robinhood Chain, and the list will continue to expand.

How to buy Robinhood Stock Tokens

Here is how to buy Stock Tokens on Robinhood Chain:

  1. Check your eligibility. Review the restricted jurisdictions list, which includes US persons, Canada, the UK, and Switzerland. Read the Base Prospectus to understand the securities you would be buying and their terms.
  2. Set up a compatible self-custody wallet. Zerion Wallet is one of the options that supports Robinhood Chain from day one, letting you trade and track all Stock Tokens.
  3. Fund your wallet on Robinhood Chain. The most common way is to bridge to Robinhood Chain.
  4. Find and swap for a Stock Token. In the Zerion app, you can search by a stock ticker and find corresponding Stock Tokens. These will be on Robinhood Chain and marked as "Robinhood Token". Here is the NVDA Robinhood Token as an example.
  5. Hold, use, or trade your tokens. After acquiring them, you can hold your position, explore supported DeFi uses, or sell on the secondary market right in the wallet.

Buying is only the starting point. Keeping track of the position helps you understand your portfolio and transaction history.

How to track your Robinhood Stock Tokens

Stock Token balances can change as dividends are reinvested through the multiplier.

Your positions may also sit across wallets and DeFi applications. Tracking should account for both the token in your wallet and the wider portfolio around it.

Zerion offers three ways to access that information.

Zerion Wallet, for traders and investors

Zerion Wallet supports Robinhood Chain. You can swap with the token contract in view, then see your Stock Token position alongside the rest of your portfolio.

Balances, profit and loss (PnL), and transaction history sit within the same portfolio experience across 42+ chains. That lets you follow your US equity exposure together with your other onchain holdings.

Zerion CLI, for AI agents

Zerion CLI is an open-source toolkit for Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and other AI agents. Agents can retrieve wallet balances, DeFi positions, transactions, and PnL.

You can ask a question such as “What’s in my wallet on Robinhood Chain?” in plain language. To get started, run:

npx -y zerion-cli init

The Zerion CLI guide explains how to track and manage crypto with AI agents.

Zerion API, for builders

Zerion API supports Robinhood Chain from day one. It lets you fetch portfolio balances, token prices, decoded transaction history, DeFi positions, and PnL.

You access this data through the same endpoints used for 42+ EVM chains and Solana. The data layer classifies RWA assets and handles details such as multiplier-driven balance changes.

A free API key includes up to 2,000 calls per day. Start building with Zerion API on Robinhood Chain.

Robinhood Stock Tokens FAQ

What are tokenized stocks?

Tokenized stocks provide exposure to stocks through blockchain tokens. Robinhood Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They are backed 1:1 by the corresponding underlying equity. They do not grant legal or beneficial rights in the underlying securities or against their issuers.

Who can buy Robinhood Stock Tokens?

They are designed for eligible global investors seeking exposure to US capital markets. They are not offered to US persons, and restrictions apply in Canada, the UK, Switzerland, and other jurisdictions. Check Robinhood’s restricted jurisdictions list before buying.

Are Robinhood Stock Tokens backed by real stocks?

Yes. Every Stock Token in circulation is backed 1:1 by its corresponding underlying equity. A licensed US-based custodian holds the underlying shares. Tokens are fully collateralized and the underlying assets are monitored daily.

How do dividends work for Stock Tokens?

Dividends are automatically reinvested through the token’s multiplier mechanism. When a dividend is reinvested, the multiplier increases, in turn increasing the value of the position.

Can I redeem my Stock Tokens?

You can sell Stock Tokens on the secondary market. You can also redeem directly with the Issuer, subject to completing its KYC and AML checks.

What happens if the Issuer becomes insolvent?

An independent security agent will sell the underlying shares and arrange for the cash proceeds to be paid to token holders.

What is Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain is the blockchain ecosystem where you can use Stock Tokens in onchain applications. Its ecosystem includes applications for trading, lending, borrowing, and other activities. Explore the Robinhood Chain ecosystem to see the available apps.

How do I track my Robinhood Stock Tokens?

Use Zerion Wallet to see Stock Tokens alongside the rest of your portfolio. Or use Zerion CLI to query wallet data through AI agents. Finally, Zerion API also lets you build tracking into your own application. These offer access to balances, positions, transaction history, and PnL.

Robinhood Stock Tokens are tokenized debt securities issued by Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited. They provide economic exposure to underlying securities but do not grant investors any legal or beneficial rights in those securities or against their issuers. They are high-risk investments, and you may lose some or all of your investment. They are not registered under US securities laws and are not offered to US persons. Restrictions apply in other jurisdictions. Review the restricted jurisdictions list and Base Prospectus before investing.
